What is “ Thinking of You Week “
You maybe wondering what is “ Thinking of You Week “ is all about ?
This is a special week of greeting card sending. It is designed to create a wave of love and happiness around the world.. In these challenging times receiving a handwritten card really is a special way to say hello especially when travelling and meeting up is not an option.
It’s really special to receive a card with a lovely handwritten message, especially when it is not expected.
I have been making cards ever since I was a kid.. Yes ! I was even drawing cat logos on the back of my cards way back then. People I gave cards years ago say they still keep them. It really makes me happy I have the power to cheered up my friends and family with my greeting cards.
I am lucky that I now design cards as part of my illustration practice and make my living from my card designs..
“ Thinking of You Week “ was originally created by GCA “Greeting card association in the UK” and launched Thinking of You Week in 2014. This special week takes place at the end of September every year.
Today this British GCA initiative has now spread to the US and Australia and has encouraged more and more people to use the power of a greeting card to connect with loved ones just to say thinking of you, cheer someone up, or just say ‘hello’.

Who can get involved?
Everyone! It’s really special thing to take the time to think of other people and write your feelings in a card. This will mean so much to the person receiving your card. That is the reason why I love designing greeting cards and sending them. Take part by making a card , support an independent artist like me or buy a card from your local store.
