Parks in the city - the golden thread -week 2

London Bus illustration by Susse Linton

Hello Friday !

This is week 2 of the Golden Thread year-long drawing challenge themed "London Calling."

Organised by @Jehane_Ltd

This week's prompt is "City Parks." I've visited quite a few parks since returning from Australia when my son was two years old, and he has played in many of them.

Our favourite park to visit was “Coram Fields”. in Bloomsbury . This park is a safe haven for children with a strict policy of no adult can enter without a child.

Making a free and happy place for children to play.

On hot summers day we would hop on the 38 bus and spend the entire day. There is so much to do, crafts to make ,water fountains to run around in ,adventure play ground, sandpit ,cafe and farm animals and exotic birds to look at.

We use to call it the park with the colourful birds.

I have many happy memoirs with Rocket visiting this very special park in London.

This piece took way longer than I intended and I think I could develop it more.

Here it is at this stage of development.

I think it would make a nice book cover.

Have a lovely weekend.
