DAY 8 Jehane's Twelve Days of Christmas Your Traditions

DAY 8 YOUR TRADITIONS

Today's prompt for Jehane's Twelve Days of Christmas traditions.

I was going to illustrate the Danish flags I usually put on our Christmas tree. But I thought I would illustrate a newer tradition I have learned while living here in Sweden. In November, the darkest month of the year, little stars in windows start popping up everywhere. Fairy lights in the gardens make the dark nights cozy. These decorations stay up well into springtime.

I love putting our large star up in the window and fairy lights all over the house.

Thank you to Jehane and all her talented artists hosting the drawing challenge.
