King’s Guard - The Golden Thread-Week 6

An illustration if the King's Guard in London by illustrator Susse Linton

This is week 6 of the Golden Thread year-long drawing challenge themed "London Calling."

Organised by @jehane_ltd

This week's prompt is "King’s Guard"

There is something about the feeling of being transported into a fairy tale when you see the Kings Guard march by in London. The amazing uniforms they wear made with so much craft and artistry. For this week I created an illustration that could be in a children’s picture book with King Charles waving to the crowd and his troops playing music the Saxophone player was getting a little carried away. The guards might look austere but they often have some humour about them too.

Happy Valentines day. ❤️

Have a lovely weekend.
