DAY 6 SUGAR AND SPICE

The smell of gingerbread and Christmas cookies baking in an oven is just the best aromatic smell of Christmas. In Scandinavia, so many delicious warming spices and flavors are used. Nothing is more hygge than baking on a cold snowy evening. I have such fond memories of my Danish grandmother teaching me how to bake as we prepared for the family gathering on Christmas Eve.
