Let's Celebrate National Stationery Week

This week is National Stationery Week in the UK. I am celebrating all things stationery.

I am a stationery addict. I love making cards, I have ever since I was a kid. Any special occasion family and friends receive a handmade card from me.

I am very lucky to have a job designing greeting cards, selling greeting cards, and licensing my designs for greeting cards. I've even taught live workshops on designing greeting cards and surface patterns. You can say I love all things stationery. If I see a stationery shop, I have to visit it and usually leave with something.

When I was small growing up in Edinburgh, I would drag my poor Mum into this stationery store in that sold collections of Japanese stationery. Begging her to buy me a sticker or eraser with a cute Japanese character on it. As a teenager I would browse the shelves of Paper Tiger look at all the lovely designer greeting cards and wrapping papers.

It is surprising how the things you love in your childhood can influence your future.

In honour of National Stationery Week, here is a rare sighting of me in my Swedish studio.

Here are some of the cards that have been published and licensed through my wonderful agent, Hannah Curtis at Creative Sparrow. I have licensed my cards to companies in Europe, the UK, and the USA.

Here are some of my greeting card sets I sell here on this  online shop.

Put your hand up if you are a stationery addict.
